Kimi Screening

Third party services:

All terms and conditions must be read together to ensure a full understanding of the product elements. 

  1. You can direct us to share your Personal Information and data with third parties. For example, you might authorise us to link your Kimi account with a third party application or direct us to share data with your employer or insurer as part of a program in which you participate. Once we share your data with a third party at your request, that data is governed by the third party’s privacy policy. We recommend that you always familiarise yourself with the third party’s privacy policy before authorising us to share your Personal Information or data.
  2. We use third party service providers for data collection (Striiv) and transformation (LifeQ) services to enable Kimi Services. All data and support services are delivered on a de-identified basis.
  3. Users may be directed to a third party for some Services, such as speaking to a health care professional like Hello Doctor, in this case you will be requested to share your data with them so they can speak to you personally.
  4. The LifeQ enabled device forms part of the approved Multiply Active Dayz™ devices. Multiply Members can earn Active Dayz™ when they meet the qualifying criteria as set out in the Multiply terms and conditions.
  5. Kimi may display or permit linking or other access to or use of third-party content, promotions, websites, apps, services and resources (collectively, “Third-Party Services”) that are not under our control. This may include the opportunity for you to link your Kimi account, Kimi data or the Kimi Service with Third-Party Services. We provide these links only as a convenience and are not responsible for the products, services or other content that are available from Third-Party Services. You acknowledge that any Third-Party Services that you use in connection with the Kimi Service, such as third-party applications accessed on or through Kimi Services, are not part of the Kimi Services and are not controlled by MMI, and you take sole responsibility and assume all risk arising from your interaction with or use of any Third-Party Services.

Protection of your information and what personal Information we access:

  1. Kimi requires you to create an account by providing us with your Personal Information such as your full name, date of birth, gender, height, weight, a valid email address as well as a strong password. Responsibility for the account remains with you as the registered user
  2. You can choose to register by using your existing Facebook or Google account. Facebook and Google will share personal information such as your name, surname, age, gender and contact details (where available) with Kimi. Responsibility for the correctness of this information remains with you.
  3. Kimi will also ask health related information for example information about your blood tests, blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and other information about your health and health-related activities. Whenever you add this kind of information, we collect it and store it in your Kimi account.
  4. If you link a LifeQ enabled device to your Kimi profile, it will collect Health information and data about you and transmit this data to LifeQ to transform the data into Health Scores and other health measurements. The data shared with LifeQ will be de-identified meaning that LifeQ will not be able to identify you from the information they receive.
  5. Information collected through Kimi is required to render the Services. The data produced is displayed through our Services. Data may be indicated as raw data (number of steps, weight, height, gender, etc.), or after transformation (heart rate, Health Scores, etc.).
  6. Kimi may also use Personal Information for internal statistical, marketing or operational purposes, including generating sales reports and measuring and understanding demographics, user interests, purchasing and other trends among our users.
  7. We retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your Personal Information has been collected.
  8. When you contact us for customer service or other reasons, we will collect your name and email address along with any other additional information you provide in your request so that we can assist you and improve our service to you.
  9. Kimi takes reasonable security measures to help protect against loss, misuse, unauthorized access and unauthorized disclosure or alteration of the Personal Information under its control. Kimi uses the Internet and third party cloud-based technologies to provide the Services. The transmission and storage of information via the internet and the “Cloud” may not be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information transmitted via our Services.
  10. Subject to applicable laws we may also disclose your Personal Information under applicable law or regulation.
  11. We may also transfer your Personal Information to an affiliate, a subsidiary or a third party in the event of any reorganisation, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer or other disposition of all or any portion of MMI business, assets or stock, including, without limitation, in connection with any bankruptcy or similar proceeding.
  12. The Kimi website may make use of cookie and tracking technology, where information that you send while on the website, is saved on your hard drive. This allows the Kimi website to recognise you on your next visit. This technology is useful for gathering information, such as the type of browser and operating system you use. The information will enable us to track the number of visitors to our website and understand how visitors use it. Personal information cannot be collected via cookie technology.

Definitions:

1. Wellnes information and personal data relate to all information and measurements that could be collected, whether through the camera that measures certain vital statistics such as heart rate, and heart rate variability; and the answers to questions relating to age, gender, medication taken, height, weight and Identity Number. The measured vital signs are not intended for medical use, including self-diagnosis or consultation with a doctor, and are only designed for general fitness and wellness purposes.

2. MMH means Momentum Metropolitan Holdings Limited (Registration number: 1904/002186/06) a registered long term insurer and authorised financial services provider.

3. Momentum is a product brand held by MMH, where you received the invitation to use Kimi Screening.

Use of the Kimi  Screening App

  1. Kimi Screening is designed for people older than 18 years.  Anyone under this age should not be permitted to use Kimi.
  2. All Kimi Screening outputs are reliant on the completion of the full measurement and answers provided, therefore incomplete and inaccurate inputs will provide incorrect results.
  3. Downloading of the app and completing and submitting the measurement screening requires a data / Wifi connection. These specific costs are for your own account.
  4. The information captured by the Kimi Screening App will be used to aid the client with either their Momentum life insurance application process or Momentum Health Solutions coaching practices; and where the Kimi Screening App is used to measure “Family and Friends”, the information captured will be stored to display a history of results to the user.
  5. Kimi Screening is part of a Momentum insurance application and/or wellness management programme. If you fall into either one of these two categories, you will receive a voucher code to access and register on the Kimi Screening app. There are two voucher categories:

         5.1. A continuous voucher which allows for multiple screenings, valid until June 2024; or

         5.2. A session voucher which allows for multiple screenings but is limited to a 9-minute session.

You can purchase a session or continuous license

 if you don’t qualify for a voucher or if your voucher has expired.

  1. Kimi Screening requires you as the main user to provide us with your Personal Information such as your full name, date of birth, gender, height, weight, a valid email address and identification number. Users are furthermore required to validate their mobile phone number with an OTP.
  2. The screening test will require the main user to provide answers to specific health questions, such as smoking status and medication taken. The user may answer activity questions.
  3. When Kimi Screening is used to screen “Family and Friends”, name, the gender, height, weight and age will be stored.
  4. Responsibility for the correctness of this information remains with you.
  5. Kimi Screening takes health measurements such as your heart rate and heart rate variability.
  6. All of the health-related information captured by the screening tool and the answers to your other health questions will be collected and stored by MMH.
  7. If you consent to the collection of third-party data, Kimi may obtain, confirm and share within MMH the relevant personal, health and medical information for onboarding, underwriting and claims assessment purposes.
  8. Kimi may also use Personal Information for internal statistical, marketing or operational purposes, including generating sales reports and measuring and understanding demographics, user interests, purchasing and other trends among our users.

  3. If you have MMH contracts, policies and / or other Momentum related products, you will remain bound by the terms of such contracts and any specific conditions of use related thereto.

Down-time and system requirements:

  1. MMH will endeavour to reduce any down-time due to system availability to a minimum. Kimi makes no warranty that the user will have continuous or uninterrupted access to the Kimi Services.
  2. Momentum aims to provide you with as much information as possible about what to expect when using this digital platform. The digital platform has been built with the following application systems in mind: IOS and Android, and will need the most recently available operating system for each of these.
  3. The digital platform makes use of JavaScript and cookies. You will need to have JavaScript enabled on your browser for the most effective digital platform usage
  4. Where not inconsistent and contradictory with the above-mentioned Kimi Screening Terms and Conditions, the full Momentum Metropolitan Terms and Conditions will also apply. For access thereto, click here.

Alerts and notifications

  1. You need to grant Kimi Screening access to your camera.
  2. You are responsible for any messaging or data fees you may be charged by your wireless carrier.
